Overview
The Kedarkantha trek is one of India's most popular winter treks. Located in Uttarakhand's Govind Pashu Vihar National Park, it takes you to 12,500 ft with panoramic views of the Himalayas.
Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri
Drive to the base village Sankri (6–7 hours). Acclimatise and enjoy the evening in the mountains.
Day 2: Sankri to Juda Ka Talab
Trek through pine and oak forests to Juda Ka Talab, a frozen lake. Camp overnight.
Day 3: Juda Ka Talab to Kedarkantha Base
Ascend to the base camp. Rest and prepare for the summit push.
Day 4: Summit and Descend to Hargaon
Early morning summit bid. 360° views of Swargarohini, Bandarpunch, and more. Descend to Hargaon.
Day 5: Hargaon to Sankri
Return to Sankri. Celebrate your achievement.
Day 6: Sankri to Dehradun
Drive back to Dehradun.
